February in Review
Total miles run: Zero, zilch, goose-egg, nada, nil.
Total hours run: See above
First, a shoutout to Carlee, of http://chasingfg.blogspot.com/
(Darn it, I can't get the link to work). She ran in the Hyannis Marathon today. I don't want to give anything away, so keep your eye on her blog for her race report.
I have been a good PT patient and done my eleven different exercises daily since my appointment this past Wednesday. They've actually become easier to do, and I believe I have some increased flexibility in my legs. My groin pain is gone, and has been replaced by a good "stretchy" feeling. I haven't done yoga in about a week. It's on hold while I'm doing my exercises. It's been 4 weeks to the day since I last ran. The New York City Half Marathon is three weeks from today. Tomorrow is my PT re-eval with (Finding Nemo) Nuno. Honestly, I'm expecting it to go well. I want him to give me permission to begin running again. With or without his permission, Tuesday becomes a test run day, only because I won't have time after my PT appointment tomorrow to run. The waiting is over. I've done everything I've been told to do. I feel good, I feel ready, and I'm pain free. Tuesday is my day. Tuesday is the day that "Marathonman Runs Again."

Hi Rick,
I am glad to hear that you are behaving yourself!! Thank goodness you are feeling better:) I hope that everything goes well at your doctors appointment and that you will be given the official permission to run:) Have a wonderful week!!
Whooohoo for Tuesday! Good luck w/ your PT evaluation with Nemo...errr...Nemo, but it sounds like you are ready to roll with it. Sounds like you've done all you can, so have fun on Tuesday and give us a full run report!
I meant good luck w/ NUNO!
you should've calculated "time spent yoga'ing" and "number of massages from nemo"!
glad you are feeling better and surely you will be returning to the road again soon. keep it slow and short tuesday - no need to run any 20-milers just yet! :)
Congrats to Carlee!!!
And to you Rick, I say: let's count down to Tuesday!!! I'll be running as well on Tuesday and I'll think of you!!
What a good boy! I can't wait to hear how it goes on Tuesday.
And your "stretchy" feeling made me laugh. Thanks for that!!
Yeah for following your PT's instructions, doing your exercises and waiting until Tuesday! I can't wait to hear how it goes, good luck!

Good luck tomorrow! I'll be at the ortho myself on Tuesday. I hope we both get good news.
Fingers crossed for an excellent run! The hardest part is holding off and doing what they tell you even thoumgh you might not want to listen. Have a great test run!
I hope all goes well today. And yay for running on Tuesday. I hope you still plan on stretching though.
Good news! And with a name like Pin Slasher, how can it be anything but greatness?
