Since I wasn't able to go see the Boston Marathon this year as planned, my wife and I drove up there the day before and had a quick (1/2 hour) get-together Meg and Jill. It was so nice meeting them, and they're as down-to-earth as I expected. Meg kicked the Boston Marathon's ass today, but I won't spoil it for her by telling you guys about it. Jill helped out Katie by walking with her, and again I'll allow Jill and Katie to tell you guys about it.
Invite: If any of my blogging buddies want to run the Hartford Marathon (Or half marathon) on October 9th, you have a place to stay at our house. I'm through running marathons, but will be running the half marathon that day.

Well, if the point of this post was to make us jealous - it's done :P So glad you got to meet them!! Even though it was quick :)
I'd love to run a half (or full) in Connecticut but right now I just don't know where I'll be in a few months... Hopefully for the better :P But once I know I'll be able to make plans ;)
I guess I should first run my first half and then see huh? ;)

Exciting to go to the "big race"...I was supposed to run the Tufts 10K this past October, but a last minute knee injury kept me out...was excited about Boston in the fall...likely will never run the marathon, but hope to run a 10K or half=mary one day! Looked fun!

Glad you did a meet up. I had a great time with my children. It was a blast to watch it.

Hello Marathonman - so sorry I missed you. I didn't have much internet access. I accidentally left my phone on airplane mode and forgot it Monday evening when I went to meet Meg & Jill and couldn't find them, and then couldn't text to find them. I was an airhead all weekend.

Boggy meet ups are the best because you already feel like you know each other! And just to be in Boston around race time would be pretty exciting! Sounds fun!

i will have to see about hartford... if i don't do the full maybe i will come up for the half - who knows. i will be a married woman then so i will have to check with my ball 'n chain :)
