Hurts So Good??

Yesterday's Run: Road: (warm) degrees. 3.11 miles; Splits: 8:53; 9:02; 8:54; :51; 27:40; 8:53 per mile pace.

My P.T. appointment is tomorrow. Thank goodness. Running is not fun right now. It hurts; my left knee is hurting, especially when I first start to run. After the first 3/4 of a mile or so, the pain isn't as bad. It isn't bad enough to keep me from running, but it's painful enough to know that if I continue to ignore it, it won't get better. I have the "Here we go again" feeling. My left knee has hurt before, but not the kind of hurt that when I begin to run, it almost feels as if something's not attached, or loose, inside of my left kneecap. Funny thing is, my total time and splits time are the same. Go figure.

I had to think about commenting now that I know you are a UCONN fan...but you redeemed yourself by hating Duke, so I guess you are still okay. And it goes without saying I am a Phillies fan...so if you love the Yankees (I just threw up in my mouth) keep that lovin to yourself!

Anyway, good luck on your knee. I hope it is nothing and not something!

Good luck on the PT appointment. Heres hoping they can identify what is going on in that knee and get some rehab underway to sort it out for you.

Sounds like that appointment can't come soon enough! Hope you're back to running soon pain free! Thanks for your comment on my blog. To answer your question... I only plan on running one marathon this year so only one monster month. But like I said, who knows! You have great splits even with your pain, by the way!

Hi Rick,
Now I have that song in my head!! It is okay, I like that song:) You did good on your run...way to stay in the game. I hope your PT session turns out positive and that you will not be feeling the pain for much longer!! Hang in there Rick!

As runners, we know how to deal with pain. It's dealing without running that we have trouble doing.
Take it easy.

I hope your knee gets better. Those splits look amazing, especially since you are not feeling 100%. Have a great week!

Good luck at your PT appt. I am curious to find out what they tell you at that appt. Hopefully, it is just something that alittle bit of strengthening and alittle bit of "loosening" up will take care of!

I laughed at your "note to Sherri!" Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear your knee is still bothering you but per your newer post it sounds like things are ok in general? More stretching! Your favorite :) Take care of your body - I don't think the government is handing those out yet but maybe soon... ;-)
