Thank you all

Thanks to all of you who left comments yesterday. Rick was a runner to the end, even making sure to watch the Hartford Marathon in the morning, before heading out for what we thought was to be a short run to get back in the swing of things. I do not know the name of the young lady who participated in the Hartford marathon yesterday, but he was excited to see you on the news and it was one of the last things we talked about. Meg & Jill, I will never forget how excited he was to meet you in person and both he and I were amazed by your accomplishments and how cool it was that you were actually running THE BOSTON MARATHON! I will post the link for his wake and funeral once I have finalized them.
Have fun running and thank you all for thoughts and prays.

Kathy

Kathy,
I just head of Rick's passing minutes ago. I am so sad to hear this. I instantly was taken back to meeting you two in Boston and what an amazing man he was. It was an honor to meet him; he never had anything bad to say about anyone and he adored you to pieces. I will never forget his smile and just how happy he was. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers, please keep me posted on his funeral arrangements if you can:

Kathy -

I had never come across this blog before today, and it saddens me to hear of the loss of your father. It is clear from his posts that he was a very special man, full of positivity and love for all those around him. It sounds like he set out to live his life to the fullest, and I think he did while enriching the lives of all his followers. I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope you know that he will always be with you.

I just saw this in my Google Reader and am so sad! Rick was such a wonderful, inspiring guy - we ran together in the 2008 Hartford Marathon and he has been so supportive and kind ever since - it was so neat to get those messages from him saying that he had seen me on TV. I couldn't believe he was paying attention! He will be sorely missed - my thoughts and prayers are with you.
